A renovated Victorian local at 330 Fulwood Road standing in the shadow of Ranmoor church, a short walk up from the Endcliffe Park top gate and on the Fulwood side of the Porter Valley. Original etched glass and a small front bar, with a cobbled stable yard behind that takes the overflow and is the easier spot with a dog on a Saturday. Six changing cask beers from Abbeydale, Bradfield, Acorn, Peak and Timothy Taylor, and it is home to local choirs and rugby teams so it can be loud. Dog friendly per CAMRA's WhatPub survey of 15 May 2025 rather than the pub's own site.
