A seventeenth-century inn tucked up quiet Littondale, serving real ales, homemade pies and a Sunday roast, with four letting rooms above. Dogs join you in the main bar, but the pub asks that you ring ahead and say you are bringing one. Booking is sensible in any case as it is small.
