Piper's Pitch is a place to eat in Craster. It is listed here so you know it is there, but we have not yet established whether dogs are welcome — so there is no verdict on this page and no stamp. If it is your business, claim the page and tell us, and we will stamp it.

We have not checked this one yet

Piper's Pitch is a real restaurant in Craster, and it is here so you know it exists. But we have not been able to find a dog policy for it that we would stand behind, so we are not going to guess at one. No verdict, no stamp, no date.

If this is your business, tell us whether dogs are welcome and we will put a stamp on it — free, and it stays free. Claim this page.

If you have been and you know the answer, tell us and we will go and confirm it.

Not filled in yet

These are the parts only the business can add. We check the dog policy and stamp the date — photos, prices and their own words are theirs to put in, and this listing is waiting for them.

Walk DOGS WELCOME

Craster to Boulmer coast path

NE66 3TW
6.5 MI · 3H 10M · 90% OFF-ROAD

A six and a half mile linear half-day of about three hours along the least-walked stretch of the Northumberland Coast Path, past Cullernose Point, Howdiemont Sands and Sugar Sands to the fishermen’s village of Boulmer. Start at the Craster quarry car park; there is no bus back on Sundays, so either arrange a lift from Boulmer or accept a thirteen-mile day. Long empty beaches with no seasonal dog restriction and burns to drink from, but the cliff path is unfenced above Cullernose, several fields hold cattle, and the last mile into Boulmer crosses grazing where the fixed penalty for a dog off lead near stock is the farmer’s to report.

Walk DOGS WELCOME

Craster, Dunstanburgh Castle and Embleton Bay

NE66 3TW
4.6 MI · 2H 20M · 92% OFF-ROAD

The best-known walk on this coast: four and a half miles and a little over two hours, level turf out to the castle, then sand round Embleton Bay and farm tracks back over Dunstan Square. Start from the Northumberland Coast car park in the old quarry at Craster, pay-and-display and the only real parking in the village, which is full by ten on any decent summer day. The clifftop grazing means leads on for the cattle between Craster and the castle, but Embleton Bay is dogs-all-year sand with no council restriction, and there are two gates rather than stiles on the inland return.
