Old School Coffee Shop is a real restaurant in Grosmont, and it is here so you know it exists. But we have not been able to find a dog policy for it that we would stand behind, so we are not going to guess at one. No verdict, no stamp, no date.

If this is your business, tell us whether dogs are welcome and we will put a stamp on it — free, and it stays free. Claim this page.

If you have been and you know the answer, tell us and we will go and confirm it.

Esk Valley Walk: Grosmont and Sleights loop

YO22 5QE
8.3 MI · 3H 55M · 55% OFF-ROAD

A moderate 8.3-mile circular with a stiff 360 metres of climbing, near enough four hours, running north-east from Grosmont through Back Wood and Hecks Wood above the Esk towards Sleights, then hauling up onto Sleights Moor for Lucy's Viewpoint before dropping back over Grosmont Bridge. Park at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway car park in Grosmont, or arrive by steam train from Pickering or on the Esk Valley service from Whitby. There is real off-lead space in the woods and along the moor track, but the moor is grazed by sheep, holds ground-nesting birds in spring and summer, and close to half the route is on tarmac lanes.
