A large road pub on Burton Road at Monk Bretton, north-east of Barnsley town centre and within walking distance of the Trans Pennine Trail and the Dearne. The pub states that dogs are welcome in the bar area and keeps water bowls and treats behind the bar. There is a beer garden and a car park. Monk Bretton Priory is a few minutes away on foot, and Carlton Marsh and Wharncliffe Woodmoor are both a short drive north.
