The original Marmadukes, opened in 2012 at 22 Norfolk Row opposite St Marie's Cathedral and a minute from the Crucible and the Lyceum. Its own FAQ says they love dogs and that you are welcome to bring your pooches inside all of their cafes, asking only that they are kept under control and that you are considerate of other customers. Inside it is a narrow two-floor room of tightly packed tables, so a small dog tucks under easily and a large one wants the front window seats. The Peace Gardens and the Winter Garden are both two minutes away for a stretch before or after.
