A six-handpump alehouse at 33-34 Hall Gate on the southern edge of Doncaster town centre, the long-standing home of Stocks beers and current holder of the Doncaster CAMRA City Pub of the Year award. Pizzas are served through the day and there is a large and very popular patio garden at the back, which is where most people with a dog end up on a warm afternoon. Entry is over a low step with a disabled WC inside, and the nearest green space for a proper walk is Elmfield Park about a mile out along Bennetthorpe. The dog welcome is recorded on CAMRA's WhatPub survey of February 2026 rather than published by the pub itself.
