A Thornbridge house on Commonside at the foot of Crookes, known locally as the Tardis because the frontage hides two small front rooms, a large lounge and an oak-panelled snooker room with a full-size table. One shallow step at the door and then level floors throughout, with a covered courtyard downstairs that takes dogs out of the way of the snooker. Crookes Valley Park and the Ponderosa are a few minutes downhill, so it catches walkers coming off the water. CAMRA's branch surveyors record the pub as dog friendly; it publishes no policy of its own.
