Soak up the glorious Lakeland scenery from this appealing four-bedroom property in Applethwaite near Keswick where up to eight guests and three dogs are welcome. Gaze out at the sweeping Borrowdale vistas or head off on long walks through the picturesque surroundings. Climb Skiddaw or make your way to Braithewaite 3 miles away to follow the 9-mile long Coledale Horseshoe. Stroll 1.5 miles into Keswick to browse in independent shops or the market hire bikes canoes or kayaks or take a lake cruise out on Derwentwater. Disembark at Lingholm where Beatrix Potter spent summer holidays and dreamed up her stories or at High Brandelhow to follow the scenic Catbells walk. Plan days out to Whinlatter Forest Park 5.5 miles away. Enter this two-storey country cottage which nestles in leafy surroundings to find bright inviting accommodation. Discover the lounge with its great picture window the perfect place to relax after fun-filled days out and absorb the stunning panoramic views. Light the open fire in here on chilly evenings and settle down to watch TV or to play group games. Prepare delicious dishes in the kitchen and then gather in the dining room to enjoy them together as you take in the views. The kitchen has an electric cooker plus a microwave dishwasher fridge/freezer washing machine and tumble dryer. There is also a ground-floor shower room with WC. Climb the stairs up to the first floor to find all the bedrooms which have outstanding views and decide who will sleep where. There are two double bedrooms one with twin beds and the final one has bunk beds. The family bathroom with its bath and handheld shower plus WC is also at this level. Enjoy the surrounding views from the beauty of the pretty private garden at the cottage. Dine outside as often as possible at the table on the patio. Towels not included. We kindly ask that dogs are kept off furniture and out of bedrooms.. Shops, supermarkets, cafes and pubs, 1.5 miles away.
