The original Depot Bakery, on Burton Road in Neepsend behind the Kelham Island bars, an artisan bakery and kitchen working out of a yard off the road with a courtyard of tables outside. The bakery's own site prints "Dog Friendly" under the Burton Road opening hours. Inside it is a hard-floored bakery room with a counter of pastries and a short brunch menu; it is tight at weekend mid-morning, so the courtyard is the easier spot with a big dog. Weekdays nine until three, weekends nine until four, kitchen until three daily. A sensible turnaround point on a walk along the Don through Kelham.
