Dogs are banned outright from the bay for the season and must be on a lead in the dunes behind it; breach carries a fixed penalty of one hundred pounds. Baggy Point and the coast path above stay open.
THE SMALL PRINTNorth Devon District Council PSPO: "Between 1st May and 30th September, no person shall permit their dog to be present on Croyde Bay" and "Between 1st May and 30th September, no person shall be walk or exercise their dog otherwise than on a lead in the dunes behind Croyde Bay". Fixed penalty £100, or a fine up to level 3 on summary conviction. Assistance dogs registered with a member of Assistance Dogs UK are exempt.
