Guests who are keen walkers or cyclers are ideally positioned to join the Tarka Trail a long distance path which offers wonderful scenery as well as welcome food stops and watering holes along the way. If you fancy an afternoon at the beach sandy Westward Ho! is just a 25 minute drive away and both Dartmoor and Exmoor are within easy reach. Just down the road in Torrington attractions include RHS Rosemoor Gardens the excellent Plough Arts Centre for interesting movies 1646 Visitor Attraction and Dartington Crystal. For those who fancy venturing a little further pretty Clovelly is a seaside town with steep cobbled streets that lead down to a harbour and the sea. For water sports and fishing Tamar Lakes and Kilkhampton are a short drive away. This spacious cottage offers one king-size bedroom with sloping ceilings and plenty of space for a travel cot. The property is within 10 miles of RHS Rosemoor with enchanting gardens set in 65 acres also Dartington Crystal which offers glass painting and demonstrations from the Glassblowers fun for all the family! If you want a game of Golf then only 3 miles away is Highbullen where you can enjoy a game on the 18-hole golf course and follow it up with one of their delicious cream teas. Only 9 miles away is the pretty seaside village of Instow where you can stroll along the beautiful golden sandy beach or take a little seasonal ferry boat across to the fishing village of Appledore. As you enter this stylish lodge take off your muddy boots and relax. On the ground floor you have an open-plan kitchen/dining room which is a great social area to cook up a lovely family recipe.
