A proper village local in lower Wensleydale, seven miles off the A1 and well placed for the eastern edge of the Dales. The inn states plainly that it is dog friendly in the bar area and in four of its five bedrooms, and there is a garden and picnic area for warmer days. Local cask ales and free parking.
