This fabulous cottage welcomes a family or group of six not forgetting two well-behaved dogs. The cottage is situated just a short 3-minute stroll from the centre of Wooler offering a wide range of shops dog-friendly pubs and restaurants as well as a wealth of regional history and culture such as the recently opened Ad Gefrin Anglo-Saxon Museum and whiskey distillery. Wooler is widely regarded as the gateway to the Cheviot Hills. Family explorers walkers and cyclists will be delighted with the many local trails around the Cheviots Glendale St Cuthbert s Way and of course the stunning Northumberland National Park a designated area of Outstanding National Beauty . The National Park provides some of the most spectacular walking in the country with its vast expanse of grouse moors where splendid solitude awaits. The beach at Bamburgh on the stunning Northumberland coastline is perfect for family fun. Visit the Holy Island of Lindisfarne or Berwick-upon-Tweed for its history culture shopping and restaurants or travel to the Ford and Etal estates for a full day out and to ride on the steam train.
