An 1896 pub at 452 Abbeydale Road in the antiques quarter on the Nether Edge side, run by local operator True North since 2011 and built around pies, sausages and nine cask lines. Dogs are welcome in the bar and beer garden but only assistance dogs are allowed in the restaurant area, so this is a drink-and-bar-snack stop with a dog rather than a sit-down dinner. Step-free entry is through a keypad gate to the left of the building, and there is a real fire in the bar. Chelsea Park and the Porter Valley path are a few minutes uphill. The restriction wording comes from CAMRA's Sheffield branch survey, not the pub's own site.
