A field circuit from the middle of Barton: south down Marygate out of the village, on by farm track to the lane corner near Richmond Road, then back north-west on the bridleway to Wells Lane and Silver Street. It stays on the quiet side of the village, away from the A1(M) which runs close by to the west, and the only tarmac is the village end and the last half mile back up Marygate. There is no seasonal ban and no lead requirement on the rights of way, but the tracks run between working arable and grazing fields, so leads through anything with stock in it.
