Westward Ho! is a delightful and friendly Victorian coastal resort offering a wide range of attractions including a beautiful beach the Royal North Devon Golf Club the North Devon Surf School tennis courts National Trust cliff-top walks and Northam Burrows Country Park. The charming market town of Bideford is two miles away and boasts a selection of shops and a pannier market. You could take a day trip to Lundy Island on the MS Oldenburg walk or cycle along the Tarka Trail or enjoy visits to Tapeley Park and Gardens The Big Sheep The Milky Way Adventure Park RHS Rosemoor Gardens or simply enjoy the gorgeous local beaches and countryside. On entering this lovely cottage you will find yourself in the welcoming lounge where you can relax at the end of the day with the TV/DVD. Heading into the kitchen/diner you will find everything you may need including electric oven and hob microwave and fridge. Going up to the first floor you will find two comfy bedrooms: one double and one twin. There is also a shower room complete with WC. Moving up to the second floor there are two more bedrooms: a double and a twin as well as a bathroom complete with shower over the bath and WC. Stepping back outside to the front of the cottage you will find a private enclosed gravelled area or you can relax in the shared BBQ area with picnic tables and garden chairs. The cottage is part of a complex of properties which share the outdoor 40ft swimming pool with seating which is heated through the main summer months (open from the last May Bank Holiday week until the 1st September only). There is also a communal children s play area with swings slides football goal posts and swing ball set. (bats and football provided) Need to know: 4 bedrooms: 2 double and 2 twin rooms. Bathroom with shower over bath and WC, shower room with WC. Shared BBQ area with picnic tables and garden chairs. Dog exercise area a short walk away. Private, gravelled, enclosed area to the front of the cottage. Shared children s play area, with swings, slides, football goal posts and swing ball set. TV/DVD. Electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge. Shared utility room: with coin operated washing machines and tumble dryer. Outdoor 40ft swimming pool heated during the main summer period (open from the last May Bank Holiday week until 1st September). Secure storage for bikes and surfboards etc.. Surrounding the complex are 15 acres of communal farmland. Car park with allocated spaces. Travel cot available. Highchair available. 8 other cottages on site. Pub/restaurant next door, beach and shops within walking distance. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times while on site and are not permitted in the pool area.
