Situated on the clifftops outside the Highland village of Nigg this property is the ideal escape for couples looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind. Enjoy romantic walks along the plentiful sandy beaches in the area and be sure to visit the other local coastal villages including Balintore (with its Mermaid of the North ) and Portmahomack (where you will find a lighthouse). The area is well known for wildlife: seals dolphins and seabirds are often spotted within the vicinity. There is a small seasonal ferry that runs from Nigg to Cromarty so hop on and explore the Black Isle with various cafes and restaurants and the ferry will also shorten your journey time to Inverness. The lodge is accessed via the glass doors at the front which leads into an open-plan layout. The lounge area has a wood burner Smart TV and Bluetooth speaker so you can kick back and relax whilst you enjoy the fantastic sea views from the comfort of your armchair (binoculars are also provided!). The kitchen area is well-equipped and contains an electric oven and hob combi microwave oven fridge/freezer coffee machine and dishwasher. A welcome pack is provided for guests consisting of some essentials as well as homemade goods for you to enjoy. The dining area is made up of a breakfast bar that seats four people. The king-size bedroom has lovely views of the surrounding countryside with luxurious robes and toiletries provided for both guests. The shower room with WC and washbasin has some added features including an anti-mist mirror and automatic lighting. The garden area mainly consists of wooden decking with garden furniture firepit and hot tub. The lodge looks out beyond the cliff edge to the North Sea meaning you can enjoy these stunning views from the hot tub with a glass of bubbly (non-glass crockery is provided for use outside). Located on a farm near the village of Nigg this lodge is ideally placed for those looking to explore what the Highlands has to offer. Numerous sandy beaches can be found nearby including Portmahomack and Balintore and there are plenty of coastal walks and trails in the area. There is also a small seasonal ferry that runs from Nigg to Cromarty so if you are looking to cut your drive time to the Black Isle and Inverness then it is well worth taking advantage of. The nearby town of Tain is home to Glenmorangie Distillery as well as a golf course and further north lies the town of Dornoch with its various cafes gift shops and must-visit beach. The lodge is accessed via the glass entrance door to the front which leads into an open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area. The focal point of the room is definitely the cosy wood burner in the lounge where there is also a Smart TV and Bluetooth speaker. Helpfully binoculars have been provided for when you are keen to do some dolphin spotting from the comfort of the cabin. The dining area consists of a breakfast bar that seats four people and beautifully divides the lounge and kitchen sections. The kitchen itself is compact yet contains everything you could need during your stay including an electric oven and hob combi microwave oven fridge/freezer coffee machine and dishwasher. A welcome pack is provided for guests and your dog will not miss out on getting a small gift too. The king-size bedroom has been tastefully furnished and decorated with robes provided for guests.
