Small pub in the hamlet of Eype, a few hundred yards up the lane from the beach and the coast path to Thorncombe Beacon. Palmers list it as dog friendly with a beer garden and sea views. The obvious pairing with a walk on Eype Mouth beach, which takes dogs all year.

Steep shingle cove at the foot of the Eype valley between West Bay and Thorncombe Beacon, reached down a narrow lane with a small car park. Dorset Council lists it as open to dogs all year round with no seasonal restriction. Quiet even in August because there is nowhere to park a coach.

Local knowledge beats desk research every time. Name the place and we will check it properly — the venue's own policy, confirmed, then stamped and dated like every other listing.
