Morton on Swale · 1 checked & stamped
Boots on. These are the Morton on Swale walks worth the drive, with lead rules and livestock warnings marked.
Between two and four and a half miles south of Morton-on-Swale depending on which of the three linked loops you take, an hour to two hours on back lanes, a bridlepath and beckside field paths over almost dead-flat ground. Start at the bus stop beside the village pub, which has a half-hourly service to Northallerton and Bedale and a small car park for customers. There is a stile-free option along the bridlepath that suits a big dog or a pushchair, How Beck runs alongside for a good stretch, and the fields between Langlands and Morton Grange are grazed.
