East Prawle and Prawle Point

Four point one miles and two and a quarter hours out to the most southerly point in Devon, down ancient green lanes to the coastguard lookout and back along the raised beach terraces, with 210 metres of climbing and a couple of steep pulls. Start on the green at East Prawle, which has a small free car park, two pubs and no public transport at all, so the car is the only way in and the lanes down from Chivelstone are single track. The green lanes and cliff terraces make for a long off-lead run, there is water at the Pigs Nose for dogs and drinkers, and the hazards are honest ones: cattle on the terraces, sheep in the fields and a low unfenced cliff above Langerstone Point.
