Located right on the seafront of Bonchurch overlooking the pedestrian only promenade which offers a wonderful coastal walk to vibrant Ventnor. It has been renovated to a very high standard to provide beautiful accommodation for 6-7 people. It has been furnished and equipped with great sensitivity and a wonderful use of light and colour.The village centre is a short walk away where you ll find a large pond with plenty of wildlife an 11th-century church beautiful stone buildings and sub-tropical plants. Bonchurch has a peaceful air which is perhaps why it was popular with writers and poets in Victorian times. Explore along the promenade which leads you through Wheelers Bay to the small seaside resort of Ventnor with plentiful beach cafés restaurants and various small shops. The coastal path eastwards from Bonchurch provides a delightful walk through the rural hamlet of Luccombe to the larger seaside resort of Shanklin a great route for a walking day trip. Entering the cottage you ll find an open-plan living area with superb sea views through its floor-to-ceiling windows and patio doors that open out onto the garden. This room has large comfortable sofas and a wall mounted Smart TV/DVD. The dining area with circular table provides a relaxing place to enjoy meals whilst you can continue to marvel at the magnificent sea just beyond. The pristine open plan kitchen has a range style cooker with a gas hob including a wok facility and a large electric oven a mini-oven a microwave American fridge/freezer dishwasher and a central island with breakfast bar. A coffee machine air fryer and kitchen aid food mixer are available on request. The fully tiled bathroom has a shower over the bath and a WC. There is also a separate fully tiled shower room with WC. A washing machine and tumble dryer are also provided. The first charming bedroom is a superb double with a super-king-size bed and lovely sea views with French doors opening on to the terrace featuring table and chairs. The second a lovely double bedroom also with a super-king-size bed and a French door offers glimpses of the sea this door gives direct access to the terrace and garden. The third is a lovely twin bedroom. There is plentiful wardrobe space and a French-style single daybed in the living area which can be used to accommodate an extra guest for an additional cost. Outside the cottage has a private walled and fenced garden with stunning sea views. Garden furniture including BBQ and padded reclining sun loungers are provided so that meals can be enjoyed alfresco. Steps lead down from the garden allowing access to the promenade. Two cars can be parked in the driveway and from here there is a private secure entrance which can be used to store bikes/prams/mobility scooter. Nestling in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the East Wight countryside this fantastic property offers uninterrupted views across the Yar Valley to the Ventnor Downs. This is a haven for wild life with an abundance of rabbits pheasants and numerous other birds. Red squirrels and badgers may also be seen. This is a glorious area for walking or cycling with footpaths and lanes criss-crossing the island and leading down to the picturesque River Yar. Visitors are within a five-minute ride of a cycle path which follows the old train lines providing a route to Sandown Newchurch Newport and Godshill. Surrounded by countryside the charming village of Newchurch is 1.5 miles away and features an excellent pub and beautiful church. Just an easy drive away is the east coast where you will find a choice of lovely sandy beaches including Sandown Shanklin and Ryde. The property dates back to the 17th century and used to form part of the buildings of the famous Manor House which occupied the site. Nothing now remains of the Manor apart from the dramatic stone pillars which stand as the gateway to this impressive stone property with shuttered windows giving the impression of a lovely French farmhouse. The front door opens into a large hall/reception room with open stairs. Exploring the ground floor you will find a spacious and light lounge with comfy seating and TV/DVD. There s also a delightful dining area with French doors which open into the garden. You will also find a stylishly designed kitchen fully equipped with a double electric oven and hob microwave dishwasher fridge/freezer and an attractive breakfast area with the washing machine and tumble dryer housed in a separate utility room. You will also find two cosy bedrooms on the ground floor. There s one double room and a twin room plus a shower room with a WC. Head up the open stairs and this leads to the first floor where you will find a galleried south-facing lounge. With comfy seating and TV this lovely room offers a sunny place to relax and like most of the main rooms it enjoys beautiful views down the valley. There are three cosy bedrooms on the first floor: one double and two twin rooms each with en-suite facilities. One of the double bedrooms and one of the twin bedrooms have an en-suite shower room with WC and the remaining twin bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with bath handheld shower over the bath and WC. The cottage has extensive grounds with a fenced garden at the front of the property with a sunny patio garden furniture and BBQ. Gateways lead from the garden to pastures grazed by pet sheep who will eat from the hand. Four or more cars can be parked in the drive.
