Set in the rural village of Ansty which boasts a popular village pub farm shop and Post Office ideal for stocking up on supplies and enjoying a hearty meal after a long walk. Around a thirty to forty minute drive will bring you to the breathtaking Jurassic Coast a World Heritage Site with stunning beaches and bracing cliff-top walks. The historic towns of Dorchester Sherborne and Blandford Forum are easily accessible and there are also a host of pretty well-known villages nearby to discover. There are many more attractions within easy reach to suit all tastes and these include numerous National Trust properties and gardens Monkey World Corfe Castle Bovington Tank Museum Lulworth Cove and Castle Durdle Door Abbotsbury Swannery and many more. Also within a short drive are fishing lakes or take a stroll from the property up to Rawlsbury Camp an Iron Age hillfort. Heading inside the accommodation has been tastefully decorated to suit all tastes with clean modern tones and newly fitted appliances. Prepare delicious meals in the kitchen which enjoys plenty of natural light and enough surface space for many hands to make light work. This charming property has recently been refurbished and is set in the heart of the small village of Bradford Peverell which wouldn t look out of place on picture postcards with its pretty character properties and rolling countryside surrounds. There are rural walks and footpaths to explore from the doorstep or enjoy a walk into the next village Stratton where you will find a traditional pub. For younger children there is children s play area within a few minutes walk from the cottage and for cycling enthusiasts the cottage is set right on the Frome Valley Cycle Trail. A short drive will take you to the county town of Dorchester where there is an excellent choice of amenities and plenty to keep you entertained including museums cinemas and a bustling high street. Head southwest and visit the market town of Bridport the cobbled streets of Lyme Regis or perhaps laze on the beach at Charmouth. With the spectacular Jurassic Coast within easy reach there is no shortage of things to do here. Cross over the lane from the parking area to the entrance into this terraced property. Step into the inviting lounge which has many original features including flagstone floors a pretty window seat and a wonderful inglenook fireplace complete with a cosy wood burner which provides the main source of heating. This charming room is the ideal spot to relax with a good book or perhaps curl up with your four-legged friend and watch a film on the TV which also has Chromecast or listen to your favourite tunes via the Bluetooth speaker. Head next door into the galley style kitchen which is well-equipped with an electric double oven and hob large fridge with freezer compartment microwave dishwasher washing machine and a small breakfast bar. There is a comfortable sunroom with dining space adjacent perfect for relaxed meals for four. Leading on through the dining area you will find the contemporary shower room with shower and WC. Heading back into the lounge you will find a door leading to a set of steep winding cottage style stairs up to the first floor. Here you can relax in the spacious double bedroom to the front of the house which has a feature fireplace. Completing the accommodation is a pretty twin room with exposed beams and wonderful views over the rooftops and countryside beyond. Heading outside from the sunroom you will find an enclosed courtyard area to the rear of the cottage which has garden furniture ideal for al fresco drinks and dining. Off-road parking for two cars is available to the front of the cottage just across the lane. Electric double oven and hob, large fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Wood burner main source of heating, logs provided. Staircase to first floor is fairly steep and winding but is fully carpeted with a grab rail. Due to the age of the property there are some low doorways. 2 dogs allowed downstairs only, not permitted in bedrooms. There will be a decorated Christmas tree for Christmas and New Year bookings.
