Portinscale · 1 checked & stamped
Lunch with the dog under the table, not tied to a post outside. Where Portinscale says yes indoors, we say so — and where it is the terrace only, we say that too.
A long-standing tearoom and restaurant in Portinscale, the village across the Derwent from Keswick reached by the suspension footbridge and on the way to the Hawes End and Catbells lanes. It is open all year, has its own car park, and its website states that it is dog friendly and that ramblers and their dogs are welcome. The site does not break that down by indoor and outdoor seating, so ask on the door if the weather is against you.
Know a Portinscale pub, cafe or place to stay that lets dogs in? Tell us and we will go and check it.
ADD A PLACEKnow one we have missed?
Local knowledge beats desk research every time. Name the place and we will check it properly — the venue's own policy, confirmed, then stamped and dated like every other listing.
One short email when we add places or a council changes its beach rules. No noise, easy out.
