Longtown · 1 checked & stamped
Lunch with the dog under the table, not tied to a post outside. Where Longtown says yes indoors, we say so — and where it is the terrace only, we say that too.
The on-site restaurant and reception at Hidden River, open Tuesday to Sunday and taking bookings, in woodland on the Lyne a few minutes out of Longtown. Dogs are allowed in the reception and restaurant area on leads, with a dog bowl kept for them and a wood burner to dry off in front of after a wet walk. Evening tables book up, so ring ahead rather than arriving with a wet dog and no seat. The courtyard outside is a pet-free zone, so do not tie a dog up there.
Know a Longtown pub, cafe or place to stay that lets dogs in? Tell us and we will go and check it.
ADD A PLACEKnow one we have missed?
Local knowledge beats desk research every time. Name the place and we will check it properly — the venue's own policy, confirmed, then stamped and dated like every other listing.
One short email when we add places or a council changes its beach rules. No noise, easy out.
