A village pub on Pleasley Road in Whiston, on the southern edge of Rotherham and on the road out to Ulley. Greene King lists it as dog friendly in the pub's own facilities panel, alongside a beer garden, a car park and disabled facilities. It does traditional home-cooked food, opens at 11am and serves until 9pm. Whiston Meadows and the walk up to Ulley reservoir start from more or less the same road, which makes this the obvious end point for either.
