Shaftesbury · 1 checked & stamped
Fires, flagstones and no side-eye at the bar. Every pub below lets the dog in — and we say exactly which rooms.
Rebuilt Georgian coaching inn on the Commons in the middle of Shaftesbury, with sixteen rooms and a serious kitchen. Dogs are welcome in the bar, where the full menu is served, the conservatory, the terrace and every one of the bedrooms, but not in the restaurant; the charge is £20 per dog per stay. Dogs must not be left alone in the room unless crated.

ADD A PLACEKnow one we have missed?
Local knowledge beats desk research every time. Name the place and we will check it properly — the venue's own policy, confirmed, then stamped and dated like every other listing.
One short email when we add places or a council changes its beach rules. No noise, easy out.
