Sandwith · 1 checked & stamped
Fires, flagstones and no side-eye at the bar. Every pub below lets the dog in — and we say exactly which rooms.
The village pub at Sandwith, two miles south of Whitehaven and directly on the Coast to Coast walk, which makes it the first pub most walkers pass after leaving St Bees. It serves food and has a beer garden. Its own website lists Pet Friendly among the amenities but does not say which rooms that covers, so ask at the bar before settling in the dining area. Parking is on the village street outside.

ADD A PLACEKnow one we have missed?
Local knowledge beats desk research every time. Name the place and we will check it properly — the venue's own policy, confirmed, then stamped and dated like every other listing.
One short email when we add places or a council changes its beach rules. No noise, easy out.
