The walkers' inn on the Military Road below Steel Rigg, with its own brewery, an observatory and a car park full of boots. Dogs are welcome in the bar area for evening meals and breakfast, and there are dedicated dog-friendly bedrooms plus three cabins that all take dogs. Dogs cannot join the stargazing events and must not be left alone in a room.
