Huggate · 1 checked
Fires, flagstones and no side-eye at the bar. Every pub below lets the dog in — and we say exactly which rooms.
The highest pub on the Yorkshire Wolds, on Driffield Road in Huggate at around 500 feet, and the natural halfway stop on the Wolds Way between Millington and Fridaythorpe. The house says it straight: "Your four-legged friends are welcome in the bar too as this side of the pub is dog friendly!" and asks that you say when you book that a dog is coming. The restaurant side is not included, so a wet dog off Horse Dale means the bar or the beer garden. There are en-suite rooms upstairs but nothing published about dogs in them, and the pub is shut Mondays and Tuesdays and for the first week of January.

Local knowledge beats desk research every time. Name the place and we will check it properly — the venue's own policy, confirmed, then stamped and dated like every other listing.
One short email when we add places or a council changes its beach rules. No noise, easy out.
