Village pub at 115 The Village in Haxby, north of York, with dogs welcome inside the pub. It makes a natural finish to a River Foss towpath walk up from the city or a loop around Haxby and Wigginton. Worth knowing: the nearby Tiger Inn, a Samuel Smith's house, does not admit dogs, so this is the village's dog-friendly choice.
