Goathland · 2 checked & stamped
Fires, flagstones and no side-eye at the bar. Every pub below lets the dog in — and we say exactly which rooms.
A creeper-covered hotel on Goathland's green, right at the head of the path down to the Mallyan Spout waterfall. The Spout Bar and the gardens are properly dog friendly and serve pub food all day, so you can eat with the dog rather than around it.
The stone village inn famous worldwide as the Aidensfield Arms from television's Heartbeat, sitting opposite Goathland's sheep-cropped greens. Dogs are welcome inside the bar and in the bedrooms (charged per dog per night), with a garden for sunny days, and the new owners have a reputation for a genuinely warm welcome to dogs. Steam trains, Mallyan Spout and the Rail Trail are all minutes away.

ADD A PLACEKnow one we have missed?
Local knowledge beats desk research every time. Name the place and we will check it properly — the venue's own policy, confirmed, then stamped and dated like every other listing.
One short email when we add places or a council changes its beach rules. No noise, easy out.
