Fires, flagstones and no side-eye at the bar. Every pub below lets the dog in — and we say exactly which rooms.
A long room with two pool tables at the far end, at 1 Market Place where Middle Street North opens out at the top of Driffield, and busier with the town than with visitors. There is a garden, a carvery on Sundays, lunches from noon to two, and six rooms to let upstairs, which makes it one of very few beds in Driffield itself for anyone walking the Navigation or coming off the Wolds. Whether dogs may go in those rooms is not stated anywhere, so ring first. The dog-friendly listing is CAMRA WhatPub, surveyed by branch volunteers on 16 June 2021 and last updated on 19 July 2025, not the pub's own words.
Driffield's micropub outgrew its first home on Middle Street South by the station and since July 2021 has occupied 57 Market Place, a spacious long front bar with a function room behind and a real fire. Six cask ales, six craft keg lines and eight traditional ciders, runner-up in the CAMRA Yorkshire Wolds Cider Pub of the Year 2026, with open mic on Thursdays and food Tuesday to Sunday. Parking is on-street only, so use the Market Place bays. The dog-friendly listing is CAMRA WhatPub, surveyed by branch volunteers on 20 September 2025, not the pub's own words.
A long single room just off Market Street at the west end of Driffield, on Mill Street, serving two real ales and trading on being quiet and straightforward rather than smart. It is a five-minute walk from the Market Place and about the same from the top of the Driffield Navigation at Riverhead. No garden, so this is an inside-the-pub dog rather than a beer-garden one. The dog-friendly listing is CAMRA WhatPub, surveyed by branch volunteers on 12 May 2020, rather than the pub’s own words.
A large town-centre pub on the Market Place at Driffield with its own parking, a paved yard at the back, Sky Sports and regular weekend entertainment. It is a hundred metres from the bus stops and five hundred and fifty from the station, which makes it the practical meeting point in town. There is no cask ale at the moment. The dog-friendly listing is CAMRA WhatPub, surveyed by branch volunteers on 18 September 2023, not the pub's own words.
A Craft Union house on the Market Place in Great Driffield, one square room narrowing to bench seating along the wall, with a real fire and sport on the screens. It is a locals' pub rather than a destination, but it is dog friendly, it has a garden, and it sits four hundred and fifty metres from the station and a short walk from the Riverhead where the Driffield Navigation begins. Parking is on-street pay and display behind the pub, and there is no cask ale at present. The dog-friendly listing is CAMRA WhatPub, surveyed by branch volunteers on 21 June 2021 and last updated on 1 August 2025, not the pub's own words.
