Dog-friendly pubs in Brough

Fires, flagstones and no side-eye at the bar. Every pub below lets the dog in — and we say exactly which rooms.

The Centurion Arms

A micropub in a converted shop unit at 39 Skillings Lane, tucked among the small businesses that serve Brough village, and local CAMRA Town Pub of the Year in 2022, 2023 and 2024. Four cask beers and a real cider come straight off the hand pump, there is no music and no fruit machine, and the seating is split into several small areas so a dog can settle out of the traffic. CAMRA's entry is unusually plain about the welcome: dogs are welcome at all times and snacks are provided for them. Parking is on-street and by the shops, and the Humber foreshore at Brough Haven is a ten-minute walk south.

Pub DOGS WELCOME

The Red Hawk

A large open-plan pub on Welton Road on the eastern edge of Brough, named for the aircraft still built at the works down the road. The draw for anyone with a dog is the big garden with plenty of tables, which is where most drinkers sit rather than in the bar. It is a mile from Brough station and a natural finish for the walk up Welton Road into Welton Dale. CAMRA records it as dog friendly, which is a branch survey rather than the pub's own words.
