Studland · 1 checked & stamped
Sand status, settled. Each beach carries its month ring — moss means go, rosehip means the council says no.
Four miles of pale sand from South Beach round to Shell Bay, National Trust owned, backed by dunes and heath and looking across to Old Harry Rocks. Dogs are never excluded, but leads are required on Shell Beach, South Beach, Middle Beach and the southern part of Knoll Beach between 1 May and 30 September. The Trust also asks that dogs are kept under control year round to protect the nature reserve.
Know a Studland pub, cafe or place to stay that lets dogs in? Tell us and we will go and check it.
ADD A PLACEKnow one we have missed?
Local knowledge beats desk research every time. Name the place and we will check it properly — the venue's own policy, confirmed, then stamped and dated like every other listing.
One short email when we add places or a council changes its beach rules. No noise, easy out.
