This is a superb spot ideal for exploring the whole of North Devon and Cornwall. Located just outside the small village of Higher Clovelly this property is perfectly placed just two miles from the coast and the much sought after fishing village of Clovelly which is a lovely place to spend an afternoon with its cobbled streets filled with shops and pubs leading down to a picturesque harbour. Also close by in the delightful villages of Hartland and The Woolsery you will find local grocery stores pubs a post office and fish and chip shops. The donkeys that used to live in the harbour village of Clovelly now all reside in the Donkey Sanctuary next door to Highford Barn. You may visit the donkeys at any time or simply enjoy watching them as they graze the fields behind the Barn. Just slightly further the north Cornish town of Bude offers a choice of award winning dog friendly beaches surf hire equipment and many quirky and quaint coastal shops cafes and restaurants. For families with children The Milky Way Adventure Park is located only 2 miles away along with the North Devon Wake and Aqua Park and the Big Sheep adventure park a little further. The nautical fishing village of Appledore surf school beach Westward Ho and port town of Bideford are only a 10 mile drive away. The barn has been finished to a high standard and lovingly converted with an abundance of charm and beautiful tiled and wooden floors. Entering the property you will appreciate its bright and airy atmosphere. The French doors make the most of the light and offer guests direct access to the enclosed garden. There is a Smart TV and warming log burner for those cooler evenings. The well-equipped kitchen consists of an electric oven and hob 2 fridges with ice compartments washing machine dishwasher and microwave. The property benefits from two bathrooms the first located downstairs via one step and consisting of a freestanding bath with handheld shower attachment and WC. Heading upstairs to the two bedrooms you will find 1 King-size bed with TV and en-suite bathroom with freestanding bath shower cubicle and WC. The second bedroom also has a TV and holds a Superking bed which can be made into twin beds upon request at time of booking. Guests can enjoy both the front patio area with garden furniture and the enclosed rear garden with lawn seating and BBQ. A collection of indoor games and books are also provided for use. Need to know: Two bedrooms 1 king size and 1 super king size (zip and link which can be made into twin beds on request at the time of booking). Bathroom located downstairs with freestanding bath with handheld shower attached and WC. En suite bathroom with freestanding bath, shower cubicle and WC. Smart TV/ DVD in lounge, Smart TV in bedrooms. Kitchen with electric oven and hob, 2 fridges with ice compartments, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. Electric and underfloor heating throughout the ground floor. Dog bed, bowls and towels provided. Charcoal Weber BBQ. Restricted head room in some areas in the bedrooms due to apex roof. Woodburner (logs, kindling and firelighters included for first night only) from October to the end of March only.. Wi Fi included please note this is limited and not suitable for downloads or streaming. Off road parking available for 2 cars on driveway. The property does not have provision to charge electric cars.
