1 place on our list here — walks from the village. Every verdict below was checked by a human — the stamp shows when.
Two and three quarter miles and about an hour and a half on waymarked loops through 140 acres of young National Forest planting, taking in the snowdrop wood, the poplar plantation and the sensory garden. Start from the forestry centre car park at Rosliston, open 7am to 7pm with parking charges, and the marked routes all begin at the visitor centre. Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead in the designated areas and may be excluded from some special events, the trails mix surfaced, gravelled and grassy going so they stay usable in winter, and there is water and a cafe at the centre.

Local knowledge beats desk research every time. Name the place and we will check it properly — the venue's own policy, confirmed, then stamped and dated like every other listing.
