1 place on our list here — pubs that let the dog in. Every verdict below was checked by a human — the stamp shows when.
A roadside Robinsons inn at the Outgate crossroads, a mile and a half north of Hawkshead on the lane towards Barngates and Ambleside. Its own page is unambiguous: "We're proud to be a dog-friendly pub here at The Outgate Inn! Whether you've just finished a walk or want to bring your four-legged friend along for a pint, they're always welcome. We even have dog treats to keep them happy while you relax." There is a large beer garden that catches the afternoon sun. Open from midday every day, to 10pm on weekdays and 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

Local knowledge beats desk research every time. Name the place and we will check it properly — the venue's own policy, confirmed, then stamped and dated like every other listing.
